GENEVA BIBLE

GENEVA BIBLE
the first English translation of the BIBLE to use CHAPTER AND VERSE. It was favored by the English PURITANS and used by SHAKESPEARE. It is also known as the "Breeches Bible" because of its translation of Genesis which normally reads "garments" (or "aprons") as "breeches."
