OLDHAM, Joseph Houldsworth
(1874-1969)
   English ANGLICAN MISSIONARY statesman and organizing secretary of the WORLD MISSIONARY CONFERENCE of 1910 who played an important role in the creating of the WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES. His book Christianity and the Race Problem (1924) is an important landmark in the fight against RACISM.
