BONHOEFFER, Dietrich
(1906-1946)
   German CONSERVATIVE LUTHERAN theologian whose opposition to the Nazi regime led to his brutal execution. He is the author of The Cost of Discipleship (1937) and Letters and Papers from Prison (1951).
